Days of Splendor, Days of Sorrow Book Giveaway on Enchanted by Josephine's Blog

It's summer and time to pick out some good books to read. And to enter a wonderful book giveaway over at Enchanted by Josephine's blog!  Days of Splendor, Days of Sorrow by Juliet Grey looks like it's tops on my list this year after reading the review on Lucy's blog Enchanted by Josephine

Days of Splendor, Days of Sorrow is the second book of Juliet Grey's in a trilogy so I will be sure to read her first one too, Becoming Marie Antoinette, which begins with Marie Antoinette's young life and how she became the Queen of France. Enchanted by Josephine reviewed this book last year here which was her favorite for 2011!

Stop by Enchanted by Josephine's blog to read more about the wonderful books and enter her book giveaway contest for your very own copy of Days of Splendor, Days of Sorrow. Juliet Grey is offering an autographed copy of Days of Splendor, Days of Sorrow to Lucy's blog readers so be sure to check out the giveaway contest.

What books are you planning to read this summer? Let me know if you have any good ones you'd like to recommend too. I hope you have a wonderful summer!

Slowing Down

Hello to my fellow bloggers. I hope you have a relaxing weekend, safe and sound. What are your plans? How is your summer going so far?

I have not been able to post as much as I had hoped to this year. I have a bad shoulder and arm injury (of course it is my right side and I am right handed) and can barely move my arm now. It seems to be getting worse and worse and is very painful. This is on top of an old neck injury that always bothers me. On top of that, I am not feeling very well either. I am in need of a break and shouldn't be posting much so I can rest and get well. I know as soon as I write "I shouldn't do this or that" I will want to anyhow... but I really shouldn't... at least until I get more info from the Doctors about what is wrong and how to fix it. It's hard to do so little cuz I am so behind in everything. I don't wanna sound like a complainer and really want to be healthy and well. So if you don't see much from me, just know I am still here. I am still able to stop by your blogs and read them now and then as scrolling thru a blog is a bit easier to do than gathering photos and typing a post. And they make me feel better too. Thank you so much for sticking around and for your continued support.

Million Dollar Decorators, Episode 2

Ross Cassidy and Jeffrey Alan Marks

Smith Jerrod (Actor Jason Lewis)

Did you watch Episode Two of Million Dollar Decorators tonight? Anybody else notice the striking resemblance between Ross Cassidy, Project Director and BF of Jeffrey Alan Marks, and Smith Jerrod (played by Actor Jason Lewis), Samantha's Absolut Hunk boyfriend on "Sex and the City?" Hummm.... I think it's the hair...

What did you think about the show tonight?

Million Dollar Decorators

I am loving the new show Million Dollar Decorators which debuted on May 31. It airs Tuesdays nights on Bravo TV and stars high end decorators shown left to right above Mary McDonald, Jeffrey Alan Marks, Nathan Turner, Kathryn Ireland, and Martyn Lawrence Bullard. You can read more about the show in the LA Times article here. And check out more info about the show onBravo TV too. (I would write more about it all but I have injured my shoulder, arm and even a finger, which makes it painful to type and is keeping me off the computer.)
I hope you get a chance to see it!

It's Raining

The rain woke me up in the night.
From a drop of dew to a few more too.
It's raining in LA... finally, free water.

It's that time of the year again for the Legends of La Cienega event!
I'm going Friday and Saturday too. It would be so nice to meet my fellow bloggers and friends to say hi. If you are going, look for me, I have long red hair. I look forward to seeing the pretty window displays and attending all panel discussions and events I can get into. Read more at the Legends of La Cienega Celebrate Art for their schedule.
